Finish designs at print resolution
Printful calls 150 DPI the sweet spot for its products and recommends 300 DPI for small, detailed items such as mugs. Its Design Maker accepts files up to 200 MB.

Disclose AI in each listing
Etsy allows AI art made from your own prompts, but each listing's description must disclose the AI use, and prompt bundles are prohibited.

Order your best 2–3 products yourself to check print quality and to shoot real photos.

Common mistakes
- Low-resolution AI images. Upscale and check at 100% zoom.
- Trademarked phrases, characters or brands. They get removed and can cost you the shop.
- Pricing without Etsy's fees: $0.20 per listing, 6.5% per sale, plus payment processing.
