Free plan in real output
Free includes chat, web search, file creation and running code. Anthropic doesn't publish a fixed message count; usage limits apply and reset over time.
- No fixed numbers are published, so the free plan can't be converted into an exact number of documents. Test it with your real workload for a week before you pay.
- Pro ($17/mo yearly) is the cheapest plan that includes Claude Code for building tools.
Cost at your stage
| Plan | Monthly cost | |
|---|---|---|
| Month 1 (testing, low volume) | Free | $0 |
| Month 12 (working volume) | Pro | $20 |
Break-even: Pro at $20/mo pays for itself if it saves about 1 hour a month at $20/hour or more.
Month-12 plan is our estimate of what a solo seller at steady weekly output needs, based on the plan limits above. Costs exclude tax.
Commercial use and output rights
