  • Hosting Next.js apps
  • Programmatic SEO sites
  • Preview deployments for clients

Plans and prices

Read on the official pricing page on . Prices change; check before you buy.

Free plan in real output

Hobby is free for personal projects. Usage above the included amounts (requests, ISR writes, Blob storage) is billed on Pro.

  • Hobby: deploy a Next.js site with no bill. The pricing page positions Hobby for 'personal project' use, so a client or revenue site belongs on Pro.
  • Pro usage examples from the page: ISR writes 200k/month included, then from $4 per 1M; Blob storage 1GB included, then $0.023 per GB.

Cost at your stage

PlanMonthly cost
Month 1 (testing, low volume)Hobby$0
Month 12 (working volume)Pro$20

Break-even: Pro at $20/mo is covered by one small paying customer of a micro-SaaS.

Month-12 plan is our estimate of what a solo seller at steady weekly output needs, based on the plan limits above. Costs exclude tax.

Commercial use and output rights

Not a content generator. Hosting; your code stays yours.

Your data and AI training: Not applicable.

This is a summary of public terms, not legal advice. Terms change; re-read the clause before client work.

Hidden costs and gotchas

  • Commercial use belongs on Pro, not Hobby (check Vercel's fair-use terms).
  • Usage-based charges on Pro can exceed the $20 credit with heavy traffic, image optimization or functions.
  • Bot protection and firewall extras have their own prices.

First-hour setup

  1. Sign in with GitHub and import the repo.
  2. Set environment variables.
  3. Deploy and open the preview URL.
  4. Add your domain.
  5. Set a spend limit on Pro.

Learning difficulty

2/5: Push-to-deploy is easy; understanding usage billing takes attention.

When not to use it

For a static site, Cloudflare Pages or Netlify free tiers are enough.

Cheaper or free alternatives:

  • Netlify: Static and Jamstack sites (yes free plan)
  • Cloudflare Pages: Fast static hosting with generous free limits (yes free plan)
  • Replit: Building and hosting an app entirely in the browser (yes free plan)
