Train and test AI models as a domain expert or linguist on iMerit Scholars
iMerit, a data company owned by EXL, runs Scholars, a vetted community of more than 30,000 domain experts and linguists in 118 countries and 106 languages who improve AI models. On 26 October 2026 it launched a new Scholars platform that handles recruiting, onboarding, project matching and payments in one place. Apply through the Scholars page or its job listings with your field, such as medicine, mathematics, agriculture, linguistics or autonomous systems; iMerit matches accepted experts to projects in their specialty. Work includes writing and answering expert questions, rating model reasoning step by step, red-teaming and evaluating outputs for RLHF, and some projects involve sensitive data under strict security rules. Payments go out through Trolley's global payout platform. Work comes in projects rather than steady hours, so keep other income and apply to several expert networks.
